Empowering women

through

Holistic education

and support.

We are committed to helping women and children self-heal through integrative, holistic support by combining ancient wisdom with modern science to learn through root-cause insight.

We bridge the connection to functional labs and provide holistic education and supportive modalities such as: herbal support, whole-food nutrition education, homeopathic remedies, movement recommendations, and lifestyle changes. Holistic support does not replace your primary care doctor, and we do not diagnose, treat, or cure disease.

Holistic care is rooted in ancient practices that take into account the whole person (body, mind, spirit), and lifestyle (including environment), to see where support may be needed. We develop a comprehensive, integrative plan to foster the body’s ability to regenerate and perform at optimum performance.

THE FOUNDER'S STORY:

"There is no cure."

“You are sending us home?” I stressed, “My daughter is swollen all over and in pain. What am I supposed to do?” I asked the Surgeon.

“There is no cure. There is no medicine I can give you. She has an autoimmune disorder. There is no medicine for that.” They replied.

My daughter was just
4 years old when she started bleeding internally. It began under her skin and covered half her body. She was misdiagnosed several times by different doctors within hours. We made several trips to the Emergency department. Each time we were sent away, despite my daughter screaming in pain. I knew something was terribly wrong and defiantly went back again. Finally, a Doctor confirmed we were misdiagnosed, and we were transferred to the Children’s Hospital. They sent us away with the right diagnosis (an autoimmune disorder), but they missed the terrible emergency. We returned in the same night with her still screaming at the top of her lungs. Finally, they discovered she had bled internally into her intestines, which telescoped in on themselves. She needed emergency surgery. It was an emotional time. It’s difficult to recall. The surgery went well, she swiftly recovered and was being released from the hospital. I should have been elated, but I looked at her swollen wrists and ankles, and I gazed at the blood still pooling under her skin. How could we be sent home with no treatment for the continued bleeding and swelling? It seemed odd with all the advances in medicine that they had not one suggestion.

At home, she seemed to get worse again. She was too swollen and in pain to walk. The bleeding wasn’t slowing down. I felt so helpless. Then I got a phone call. My sister told me that she knew someone with an autoimmune disorder and they adhered to a particular diet to suppress symptoms. My first glimmer of hope. The diet was whole-food based, dairy-free, wheat-free, no processed foods, and anti-inflammatory. In addition, it was completely pureed. It worked. It worked so well that it wasn’t long before she was running and playing like a normal little girl. I researched everything I could about how the immune system functioned after that. Once I understood how the body worked, it made complete sense why the diet was working. Once I took pressure off the body to digest food (by making sure it was easy to break down) and stopped stressing it with processed meats and sugars, the body was able to focus its efforts on taking down inflammation, and the “disorder” healed itself. Of course, we supplemented with Omega-3’s, Turmeric, Pre/Probiotics. But supplements can only support; they cannot undo damage being done by poor eating.

I am not upset with doctors. In fact, I am forever grateful. My daughter would not be here without them, an
d neither would I or my son. All of us have needed life-saving surgery at one point in our lives. This isn’t a story about how the medical system failed us; it is a story about how Western medicine has specialties and limitations. It’s a story about how holistic education can dramatically transform one’s own health through diet and lifestyle changes. That’s when I began to pursue holistic education and build a company devoted to giving parents and children the root-cause insight and support they need in their healing journey.
